Dr. Erin Chambers, N.D.

Hello, I'm Dr. Erin! Thank you for your interest in my practice.

Choosing a healthcare provider is an important and personal decision, so I want to share some details about my approach, so you can better understand what to expect when working with me towards your health and wellness goals.

This is your journey, and I am here for support and collaboration along the way.

My Practice

I am a regulated naturopathic doctor with a general practice focusing on pelvic health. This encompasses digestion, pelvic floor health, and women’s health. I am also certified in acupuncture (including facial acupuncture) and IV nutrient therapy (including iron infusions), and I hold pharmaceutical prescribing rights.

In a nutshell, I am a naturopathic doctor taking a holistic approach to your assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. My goal is to not only address your primary concerns, but to also uncover anything and everything else that may be disrupting your overall well being.

Values

At its core, my practice is patient-centred. I prioritise listening and understanding where you’re coming from so we can design the treatment plan best suited to your unique needs.

I promote a collaborative rather than prescriptive approach with my patients, believe in health at any size, maintain an LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive practice, and focus on incorporating more nutritious foods into a diet rather than restricting foods.

My Approach

In my assessments, I consider the patient as an entire person: physical, mental, and emotional. I dive deep, looking at how all these pieces interact and influence each other in order to identify the root causes of your health concerns and address them for long-term solutions.

I use more than one lens to look at each unique patient, employing Western medical diagnostic techniques, traditional Chinese medicine, nature-cure, and nutrition. I tend to take a lighter approach with supplements, and lean more towards conventional lab testing than functional lab testing.

Most importantly, I always look to the patient first and consider their specific needs, concerns, health history and experiences.

Treatment

There is a wide range of tools for treatment, and each person will need a specific course of treatment to suit their lifestyle, values and personal bandwidth.

Treatments can include changes to lifestyle and nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, nutraceutical medicine, pharmaceuticals, homeopathics, craniosacral therapy, or IV therapy. Together we will create a customised plan to address not just what treatment is indicated for a specific condition, but one that fits your life, taking into account your values and personal capacity, whether that be in time, energy, budget, or mental state.

Your First Visit

The initial visit typically lasts up to 75 minutes and is a comprehensive information-gathering session involving an in-depth look at your concerns and a complete health history.

During this visit, we review previous lab work and, if indicated, order additional testing. We aim to implement some form of treatment by the end of the first visit, but if we need to gather more information, the second visit may be more treatment-driven than the first.

Follow-up appointments depend on the progress we're working toward and the treatment plan we chose together.
